Family Movies In The Park

Location: Willis Tucker Community Park

Time: 7:30pm

Admission: Free

Each Thursday in summer the Willis Tucker Community Park will host Family Movie Night. Bring a blanket or low beach chairs to sit out in the crisp night air and enjoy a family movie. Many activities take place up until show time. Movies begin around 9-9:15 pm depending on when it is dark enough to view. Popcorn and drinks are available at the park. They will be featuring fun family movies each time.

Gold Bar – Gold Dust Days

Location: Gold Bar

Time July 27-29 (3-8pm Friday, 10-8pm Saturday, 10 - 3 pm Sunday)

Admission: Free

The Gold Bar-Gold Dust festival features a unique family experience. Pan for real gold, watch a Civil War reenactment, taste foods from many different vendors, get exercise in the bouncy houses, or compete in a sack race against the firefighters. Many different local vendors are set up at the event, as well as, arts and crafts booths. A bike parade is part of the fun, and there will be a bike decorating session for kids to enjoy. The best part? The entire event is free to attend.

The Evergreen State Fair

Location: Monroe

August 23- September 3

Admission: $14.00 Adults, Kids 6-15 $10.00, Kids up to 5 Free

The Evergreen State Fair is one of the largest events in the county. The fair features carnival rides (ride bracelets available), fair competitions, concerts and a of course, a rodeo. Every day of the fair offers new and exciting things to experience, including the famous “Duck Races” and the equestrian competitions. The Evergreen State Fair also offers special admission days and has discounts available for some of the paid events.
